OLED: Organic Light Emitting Diode. The standard technology for almost all modern devices. Higher color quality. No backlight. Comes in two varieties, Hard OLED and Soft OLED. Soft OLED is superior. RevyTech only uses Soft OLED unless otherwise indicated.

LCD: Liquid Crystal Display. Backlit display with mid-level color quality. Higher battery usage. Can conflict with devices designed for OLED.

Aftermarket: Screens designed and manufactured from third party suppliers. We stock only the highest quality aftermarket parts. We recommend aftermarket for majority of devices due to a strong balance of price and quality. These screens may be thicker or have a reduced display area.

Refurbished: These screens are OEM that have had the glass professionally replaced, refurbished, and tested. OEM quality without OEM price, however the glass used is not as superior or strong as OEM in some cases.

OEM: Direct from manufacturer (Apple, Samsung, etc). Often called “Service Packs“. 

TrueTone: Special technology from Apple. Adjusts your phones’ color temperature based on surrounding light. Needs to be copied over from original screen to retain feature.

Pro Motion: Special technology from Apple. Refers to refresh rate of the screen. iPhone Pro 13 and up enjoy 120hz refresh rate, making it a smooth experience.

No Message: Avoid the “Important Display Message” from Apple when having your screen replaced. We transfer the display chip to your new screen assembly. Original screen required.
